I graduated in law and was called to the Bar in Sri Lanka. In early years, I practised law in civil and criminal matters and lateron, I obtained MPhil (Cantab) from the University of Cambridge in the UK.
I held many high positions in Legislative Drafting in many Commonwealth countries.
Later on, I served as Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Austria with accreditation to many East European countries and was also the Permanent Representative to the UN in Vienna.
